Anaesthetist
Dr Jonathan Ledang completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at UNSW and graduated with Honours. He proceeded to obtain his Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Ultrasound from the University of Melbourne whilst working across various Sydney hospitals. Dr Ledang undertook his specialist Anaesthetic training at Liverpool Hospital. He also completed his Fellowship in Regional Anaesthesia at Liverpool Hospital and now heads the Acute Pain Service at Campbelltown Hospital where he provides education and advocacy for perioperative regional anaesthesia. Dr Ledang is experienced in providing anaesthesia for all types of adult surgery, but has a particular interest in Hand Surgery and Orthopaedics, where he can apply his expertise in regional anaesthesia. He values open communication and providing his patients with a tailored anaesthetic to optimise perioperative safety and comfort. Outside of work, he has an active toddler who commands his attention as they explore the playgrounds of Sydney together.
Dr Sara Letafat
Anaesthetist
Dr Letafat is a specialist anaesthetist with particular interest in hand and wrist, upper limb and eye surgery. She is a keen advocate for use of regional anaesthesia where appropriate, to minimise need for excessive anaesthetics and painkillers, for better patient experience and post-surgical recovery. Dr Letafat completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at Imperial College London in 2009. During her undergraduate medical training she also undertook a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Respiratory Science at Imperial College London. She commenced medical training in the UK before moving to RPA Hospital in Sydney for senior residency in 2011. After deciding to make Sydney home, she completed specialist training in Anaesthetics at St George Hospital. Dr Letafat undertook a further 18 months of fellowship training at Royal Hospital for Women, Prince of Wales, Sydney and Sydney Eye Hospitals. She obtained her Fellowship of Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2022. Dr Letafat is also passionate about improving anaesthetic safety through ongoing research and medical education and training.
Dr Chris Davidoff
Surgical Assistant
Dr Chris Davidoff is an Australian trained doctor. He obtained a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2008, which included a year of full time research at the Brain and Mind Institute. He then went on to complete his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2012 at the University of Notre Dame Sydney, followed by a Masters of Surgery from Macquarie University in 2018. Dr Davidoff works across a variety of hospitals in Sydney, in disciplines including hand and wrist surgery, hip and knee arthroplasty, lower limb surgery, spinal surgery, neurosurgery, and endovascular surgery. In addition to his clinical work, he is an active researcher with published work in international medical journals and is an invited peer reviewer for several journals. He is also a lecturer and examiner at the University of Notre Dame Sydney. Dr Davidoff has a keen interest in medical technology and product development, and is the co-founder of a medical device business.
Dr Andrew Zimmerman.
Surgical Assistant
Dr Zimmerman left his corporate job in 2014 to attend medical school at the University of Sydney. He completed his internship and residency in 2020 and a Masters of Surgical Sciences in 2022. He has worked in various Sydney and regional hospitals, primarily in surgical roles. He is currently taking some time away from the public surgical training pathway to spend more time with his family. Andrew loves being a part of a surgical team and helping Dr Aggarwal and other Sydney-based surgeons deliver good outcomes for patients. When he isn't assisting in theatre, Andrew enjoys teaching surgical anatomy and dissection to aspiring surgeons at the University of Sydney. On his days off, you'll probably find him at home with his family, tinkering with wood in his workshop, or chatting up strangers at his local pub.
